Robotic Apocalypse VR

Robotic Apocalypse VR is a frantic apocalyptic shooter survival game in which you fight to survive against horsed of angry robots who want to take over the world. The game is quite difficult and definitely poses a challenge, even for experience FPS players. It's also aimed for those who love very fast-paced shooters specifically, and for those who are not prone to motion sickness because because this game can get you nauseated quite fast due to its walking locomotion and fast gameplay.

Robotic Apocalypse VR

Robotic Apocalypse VR is a frantic apocalyptic shooter survival game in which you fight to survive against horsed of angry robots who want to take over the world. This game is aimed for those who love very fast-paced shooters with tons of enemies to shoot and don't really care about getting nauseated.

In the game, you need to shoot robots and you get score and coins for enemies you kill, so you can buy power-ups that can help you deal with more challenging rounds. This is a game where you need to continuously be moving in order to find the roots before the accumulate which will make it harder for you to take them all down. The maps themselves are fairly large and the robots will come from different areas around the map. This is why you should continuously kill the robots as fast as possibly can. This game really doesn't get you to feel too overpowered, enemies can come from anywhere and anytime and they also move fast so always keep an eye at all directions and aim well.

The shooting mechanics are very basic like there is not need to reload your weapon, just take out everything you've got. I really love this better than playing against slow moving zombie shooters. The game gives you and advantage of having fast movement, but it gives the robots the same speed as well. If one of the robots gets close to you, it's game over. There is no way to progress if you just stand in place in thinking you can outsmart your those robots.

At the end of the round you get a score and the game records your best score as well. There are several maps, each one looks and plays differently. The developer also mentioned that future updates will be free, which include new maps, enemies, and additional features.

It's a very challenging shooter and as I mentioned, the walking locomotion will probably be an issue for some of you. That being said, many developers want to stay away from making these type of frantic fast-paced shooter and use teleportation to prevent the motion sickness that can occur when moving in VR while the player physically stays in place, but I think it's great that at least we have some games that go to the opposite direction and offer players to experience that fast-paced gameplay while staying loyal to the original gameplay mechanics of non-VR shooters. Some of you might like it, other might not.

Robotic Apocalypse VR is available for the Oculus Rift on the Oculus store.
