Jackal Assault is a Call of Duty experience for PSVR, which is given as a free bonus for those who buy Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This is the first VR title that carries the Call of Duty brand name.
Jackal Assualt is a cockpit VR experience, in which the player control a Jackel, a 19m long tri-positional-wing mutli-role combat aerospacecraft used by SATO (Solar Associated Treaty Organization). The Jackal made is the first appearance in COD Infinite Warfare.
Don't expect Jackal Assualt to be a full triple-A title, because it's not. It's more of a mini-game, a VR experience, that provides players a fun and immersive shooter experience made by the developers of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. You can rotate your head to look around and enjoy the galactic landscape and use the DualShock 4 controller to move the ship and lock-on and shoot missiles on targets scattered in space.
Judging by the announcement gameplay video, it looks really slick and fun. If you already planned to buy Infinite Warfare and the PlayStation VR, you get yet another fun cockpit VR experience to enjoy this year. This experience will be available when Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launched on November 4, 2016.
